Construction News:
At present, there are 200 men on the construction site of Paradise Beach. With labour increasing every day, the contractor expects to have 700 men on site in January 2010.

After a 15 month suspension (due to the delay outlined in October) there is an enormous clean up operation taking place within the site and within each individual unit in preparation for finishing trades of the southside of the development. Buildings are being re-scaffolded and machinery, cranes etc re-mobilized. Tiling of roofs and internal tiling has re-commenced and in some units already completed. Windows and doors are in production for delivery early 2010. The first swimming pool has also been excavated.

On the north side of the development, infrastructures (roads, paths, drains etc) have all re-commenced as well as the construction of building foundations and superstructures. A new construction schedule is almost completed by the contractor, and if you wish to receive a target payment schedule, please contact us, from the month of January. Please view the construction gallery under the gallery tab on our new website www.paradisebeach-capeverde.com for photos of the works on site.

The Beach concessions ie. beach club, bars & restaurants, are all progressing in design and will be completed in the coming months. Dispite previous communications from CVD, Paradise Beach can confirm that Nikki Beach will not be operating the hotel or beach club, as a formal deal was never agreed. The hotel is under redesign to make it suitable for a larger operator, and as soon as anything is formalized, it will be announced.

The contracted landscapers are progressing extremely well and already have 50,000 plants and trees maturing at the nursery on site. They are currently working on concept drawings for plantation and water features in the gardens and swimming pool areas. They have thousands of Palm, Cork and Banana trees as well as Crotons, Rudbecia, Bougainvilleas, Basil, Lemonbalm, Canna Lillies, China berries. Please view the landscaping gallery under the gallery section on the website.
