Construction News

Once again the number of men on site has increased as a team of painters arrived this week from Portugal. Painting has already completed in some apartments in Block 3 as we are preparing new show units to display the various furniture package options (see photos in gallery).

Almost all units on the south of Phase 1, ie. Blocks 3,4 & 5 and all detached and semi detached villas to the right of hotel plot, have now been certified for completion of internal tiling and in some cases, completion of installation of windows also. These units are now ready for painting which will be followed by the fitted kitchens as the kitchen fitters are already on site preparing to commence in approx. 3 weeks time.

A total of 5 swimming pools have now been excavated in the south of Phase 1. Please see photos in the gallery.

Infrastructure works such as public illumination, and water supply services are progressing well on the south side. All roads at this end of the site are now completed, with services due for completion at the end of May and works for the paths surrounding the semi-detached villas commencing this month.

At the north end of Phase 1, ie.Blocks 1,2 and all detached & semi detached villas to the left of hotel plot, 3 huge cranes dominate the blue skies, as construction here is rapidly rising to the next floor levels.

Block 2, in some sections, is up to the second & third levels already and Block 1 has completed foundations and all associated foundation works and is currently at ground floor block work.

Foundations have commenced along the frontline with the detached villas, and most of the semi detached villas behind, are at various stages of construction from block work, roof slab pouring, roof slabing, and plastering.

We are pleased to announce that the construction of the new access road to Paradise Beach will commence during the month of May. The gallery section shows a photo of the plot where this road will be built.

Due to the increase and speed of activity on the site of Paradise Beach, we are now restricted to showing purchasers the site between the hours of 12pm-1pm and after 5pm. We continuously have purchasers visiting the island to view the site so if you are planning to visit Sal, please advise us in order toensure that we adhere to site regulations.

Furniture Packages:
We would like to advise you that this process is currently at contract stage with the individual suppliers involved and information will be sent directly to each purchaser by email very shortly.

Mortgages:
We are still waiting on the terms & conditions of these mortgages and once this information is confirmed, an email will be sent directly to each purchaser.

More flights to Cape Verde:
A group of people living & working on the Island of Sal have set up a campaign for Low Cost flights to Cape Verde. They have managed to speak to some interested airlines; however, these airlines need to know the full extent of the potential demand for flights. The campaign is asking investors, developers & holiday-makers for support and assistance by voting on their website www.moreflightstocapeverde.co.uk

If you think that this may be beneficial to you as an investor on the island, please log on and leave your vote.
