Work on solar power plants in Praia and Sal begins in Cape Verde
Praia, Cape Verde, 14 April – Construction work on the solar power plant, in Palmarejo Grande, in the city of Praia, is due to begin Thursday, the Cape Verdean authorities have said.The two facilities will reduce CO2 emissions by 13,000 tons per year and provide around 4 percent of Cape Verde’s entire electricity production capacity.
Supply and installation of the two solar power facilities was awarded to Martifer Solar, a Martifer group company for solar energy which has done work in Angola, the Czech Republic, Italy, Greece, Belgium, Portugal, France, Spain and the United States.
