SOUTH OF PHASE 1
Apartment Blocks 3, 4 & 5
As per last months’ newsletter, works continue throughout these blocks in all areas as we come closer to the completion date of March 31st. Painting is almost completely finished externally while the internal painting continues. Installation of sanitary ware has commenced in these blocks. The swimming pools are now in the final stages of tiling and in the next 2 weeks (mid March) they will be filled with water. Snaggings are due to start on March 1st and ECP will do these works on behalf of Paradise Beach.
Semi-Detached Villas ie. SD51 – SD142
Again, these units are continuing towards completion. Sanitary ware is also being installed. The first of the swimming pools around the semi detached clusters is in the final stages of tiling and is due to be filled with water over the next couple of weeks.
Frontline Detached Villas
All external doors & gates are being fitted. All private swimming pools are in the final stages of tiling and within a week all of them will be completely finished. The first of the private swimming pools is currently being filled with water.
NORTH OF PHASE 1
Apartment Blocks 1 & 2
Plastering is now completed in these apartment blocks. Wall & floor tiling has started.
Semi Detached Villas ie. SD1 –SD50 & SD143-SD188
Tiling works continue throughout.
Frontline Detached Villas
There are 3 villas already completely tiled. All plastering works are also complete. The swimming pools of these villas are currently being sprayed and will be ready to tile in the coming weeks.
GENERAL CONSTRUCTION NEWS
Resort Entrance
Works continue on the entrance to Paradise Beach. The arches have been built and the structures are almost complete. A 2 meter boundary wall is also being built see photo. Further sketches have been drawn for the entrance. Click on the images below.
Construction Site Entrance
The construction site entrance has been moved to the north of the site while works are ongoing to the official resort entrance.
Electra
Works to services such as water & electricity to the resort of Paradise Beach are ongoing.
NEWS REGARDING THE FURNITURE PACKAGES
Updated brochures
Updated brochures of both suppliers will be published on the website as well as sent to all purchasers. These brochures will now include the terms and conditions, so that you can have a precise idea of what the payment process will be like.
Alterations
The suppliers have been made aware of the suggestions and requests made by several purchasers. If you are interested in buying a package but would prefer a different item, just let us know.
Front line primary villas
Considering the interest shown on packages for the primary villas, the suppliers are working on specific packages suitable for this type of units.
Import taxes and duties
The prices of the furniture packages are the final ones, that is, they include shipping, taxes, duties and VAT.
We would also like to remind you that import tax in Cape Verde is charged as a percentage of the cost of the goods plus the cost of shipping. As far as furniture is concerned, the percentage can go from 40% to 70%. On top of this tax there is also 15% IVA (VAT) which is calculated on the cost of the goods, plus the shipping cost and the import tax.
