Claudia Fernandes assumes School of Hospitality and Tourism

Claudia Fernandez is the first director of the School of Hospitality and Tourism in Cape Verde. Graduated in Social Communication and Culture Faculty of Humanities, Catholic University of Portugal, Fernandes, who was playing the role of advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade (MIREX), takes office on Monday, 30.

Claudia Fernandes says he is waiting on the new roles that will play and promises to "do my bit for us to have a quality school that can train people with a profile suited to the demands of the labor market," he said, pledging to work closely partner with the private sector.

The School of Hospitality and Tourism (EHTCV) is an investment of 13 million, funded entirely by Luxembourg. The school, which began pilot courses in 2009/10 and has 124 students and 24 instructors, offers courses in technical travel agency and hotel reception level IV, kitchen / pastry shop and restaurant-bar level III. And it has agreements with Brazil and Portugal, among which the latter has an agreement with the Institute of Tourism which has 16 schools, hotels and tourism.

The EHTCV is under the oversight of the Office of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP), and aims to promote knowledge and skills development for the exercise of professional excellence in the areas of hotel, restaurant and tourism.As the practice is the criterion that evaluates any vocational school wants its graduates to start exercising since the early days of its course the art of serving.So you think serve meals at the restaurant you have. And since by appointment will ensure cocktail events and other activities.
