"Open Day" at the School of Hospitality and Tourism
The School of Hospitality and Tourism in Cape Verde, EHTCV, promotes on Friday, 27, an "Open Day" from 9:00 on its premises at Palmarejo Grande. The event will be chaired by the Minister for Employment protection, Janira Hopffer Almada, and the Minister of Tourism, Industry and Energy, Humberto Brito.
The aim of the "Open Day" is to introduce private operators training courses, mode of operation of the School of Hospitality and Tourism in Cape Verde and negotiate with them jobs and internships.
The EHTCV has 123 students, 24 instructors and offers courses in technical travel agency and hotel reception, level IV; kitchen / pastry shop and restaurant and bar, level III. The school provides training and continuing training and has a capacity for 800 students. The pilot courses were launched in the academic year 2009/10 and the school actually started in March this year. The school is under the oversight of the Office of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP) and aims to promote the dissemination of knowledge and skills development for the exercise of professional excellence in the areas of hospitality, catering and tourism. The EHTCV was funded by Luxembourg totaling 7,462,000 euros.
