Standard and Poor's improved outlook for Cape Verde
Praia, Cape Verde, 25 May - The rating agency Standard & Poor's (S & P) raised Tuesday to "negative" to "stable" the outlook (outlook) of Cape Verde has, however, kept the notations sovereign credit risk of long-term "B +" and short-term "B".
In a statement, S & P said that despite the high fiscal and external deficits, Cape Verde, while maintaining political stability, has shown that there are prospects for growth "moderate to strong" economy. The growth outlook is based "in part," says S & P, Foreign Direct Investment, which remains "steady" at about 7 percent of gross domestic product.
