World Bank lent $ 53 million to Cape Verde for energy projects
The government of Cape Verde a loan of 53 million dollars from World Bank to finance projects of the Cape Verdean government wishing to terminate the energy constraints in the archipelago.
Projects should be completed in late 2013 or at the latest, in early 2014, going to the government of Cape Verde add $ 5 million for its realization.
The Minister of Finance Cape Verde, Duarte, said that the bulk of the overall funding of $ 58 million will be invested in improving the electricity network throughout the country, a project which is budgeted at $ 42.5 million.
