Praia, Cape Verde, 15 Nov – The 14th edition of the Cape Verde International fair (FIC) is due to take place from Wednesday to Sunday in Praia, with 180 exhibitors, most of which are international.
FIC, according to its new president, Luís Cardoso, is a privileged event to seek out business opportunities through previously scheduled contacts between exhibitors and national and international professional visitors.
FIC this year has a common area and a number of activities of technical and business interest to support the fulfilment of the event’s main objectives, such as boosting investment opportunities and creating business partnerships.
The joint area will house several business sectors, such as exhibitors and professional visitor services, information on foreign investment, previously organised business contacts, a show room of Brazilian products and services and talks given by Brazilian consultants.
The area is promote by the Barlavento (Windward) Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Services (CCIASB), the Brazilian Service for Support to Micro and Small Enterprises (Sebrae) and the Business and Innovation Development Agency (ADEI).
Amongst the novelties for this year, FIC will take the fair out of its venue, with cultural and economic events outside and, as well as Portugal, which will attend with 50 companies, there will be exhibitors from Brazil, Spain (Canary Islands), China, Macau and several other Portuguese-speaking African countries, European countries and West African countries.
