Cape Verde will export fish to the United States of America

Praia, Cape Verde, 15 July - The government of Cape Verde has concluded negotiations with U.S. companies that will allow in the short term, export fresh and frozen fish in the south of the archipelago to the United States of America, said the secretary at the Beach Cape Verdean State Marine.

According to Cape Verdean press, the Secretary Adalberto Vieira said that the proposed export of fish as promoters have two U.S. companies, Peer Fish and Seafood Carlos, already operating in Cape Verde in partnership with national entrepreneurs.

This project, which has the support of the government department responsible for fisheries, will help transform the city's beach in a fishing center, similar to what happens in St. Vincent, and generate between 125 to 150 direct jobs, said Adalberto Vieira yet.

The start of the project is due shortly after the completion of improvement works of the complex installations Beach Cold currently disabled, and obtaining authorization to operate and the number of export health of the Directorate General of Fisheries.
