Brazilian company will build ARG Administrative City of Cape Verde
Praia, Cape Verde, 8 June - The government of Cape Verde has signed a contract with the Brazilian company ARG for building the Administrative City, near the city of Praia, the Ministry of Finance and Planning of Cape Verde.
According to one ministry, the project will be financed by Brazil amounting to 220 million dollars.
The National Institute of Statistics, University of Cape Verde, the Court of Auditors, the "campus" of Justice, the Office of West Africa and other administrative buildings are state institutions that will have new facilities built in the City Administration.
The latter will be located near the School of Hospitality and Tourism, recently built in a residential area of ??the Cape Verdean capital.
This is a project whose funding was announced during the passage through the island of Sal the then Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, who at the time, promised to "close" some compromises with Cape Verde even before finishing his term in December 2010.
Brazil, by its threats, then took the commitment of Cape Verde to help build a "City Administration" in the Cape Verdean capital, a complex which will be installed all ministries and public services that have not yet established itself.
