Remax opens two stores in Cape Verde
The Remax Portugal, real estate company, will open two stores in Cape Verde, one in Praia and Mindelo another. Until late 2011, the company expects to open three more stores in the country.
With this expansion, Cape Verde would now become the first African country where the company takes the first steps in an operation expects to amass close to two million per year.
The estate, which has 220 branches and about three thousand sales in Portugal, wants to focus on its expansion in Africa, especially in Portuguese-speaking countries.
"These two openings are important because they mark the start of this international operation," said Beatriz Rubio in a statement, CEO of RE / MAX Portugal. The official expects therefore that the Cape Verdean market "is a good gateway to other markets in Lusophone Africa."
The Cape Verdean community residing abroad is one of the target market of real estate deals with second homes and rentals for those "who return on holiday or to improve the conditions of family living," reads the statement.
In a country where it holds about five thousand property transactions each year, RE / MAX will act as it does now in Portugal, as Master Franchise: each new franchisee will invest 1,500 Cape Verdean escudos (about 15 thousand). With this operation, that property in January 2010 was considered the best company to work in Portugal, expects to amass close to two million per year.
Founded in Denver, Colorado (USA) in 1973, Remax is the largest international real estate franchise operations in 70 countries. You are in Portugal since 2000, through over 7,000 branches and approximately 120,000 staff members.
