Ring of Fogo: Government negotiates replacement of water pipe with Luxembourg
The Cape Verde government will negotiate with the Luxembourg Cooperation to finance the replacement of water pipe along the ring of Fogo. The project, which was prepared by the Italian company SWS provides an additional $ 600 000 Cape Verdean escudos.
The project has been delivered to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Maritime Economy, which will have the responsibility to seek funding for materials, and the work being performed by the Italian Giuseppe Construzioni Maltauro - SPA, which is performing the works of the circular island .
By replacing the current practice for 200 mm pipe, all locations on the island situated less than 600 meters will be covered with a network of water supply.
